The Orchid Recovery offers tailored rehabilitation plans for people facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, and also for behavioural or process addictions like gambling. Treatment includes medically supervised detox as well as residential care programs available for 4, 8, or 12 weeks. By focusing on the underlying causes of addiction and combining evidence-based clinical approaches with holistic methods, The Orchid helps clients rebuild their lives in a calm, caring setting in Thailand. Guided by The Orchid’s founder and full-time psychiatrist, an expert with more than 30 years of experience in addiction treatment, clients benefit from a full range of modern therapeutic options. The centre applies evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), along with trauma-focused therapies, to support deep change and the development of healthier coping skills. Alongside formal therapy, the program includes daily holistic practices including yoga, sound baths, meditation, and mindfulness, helping clients reconnect with themselves. IV therapy is also provided to support quicker physical recovery and help reduce the risk of longer-term effects on the brain and body. The Orchid Recovery also highlights the importance of family in the recovery process. As treatment progresses, loved ones can take part in family therapy, available both in person and online. Counselling supports communication and helps repair relationships that have been strained, encouraging greater understanding and stability within the family system. Family participants are also able to enjoy the peaceful environment of The Orchid during their visit, making the experience supportive and restorative for everyone. Recovery at The Orchid continues after residential treatment ends. The team provides two months of free aftercare to assist clients as they return to everyday responsibilities. Clients attend weekly Zoom check-ins focused on relapse prevention, helping them maintain progress and build a more meaningful life free from substances. Set in a former hotel, The Orchid offers a discreet and welcoming residential atmosphere. With a limit of 20 clients at a time, the community stays small, which supports closeness and ensures that each person is noticed and supported. Participants have private rooms and can enjoy tranquil gardens, a pool, a fitness centre, and the quiet mountain scenery around the property. Meals are provided three times daily by chefs, with an emphasis on nutritious eating inspired by the Mediterranean diet, and vegetarian choices are available.
