About Recovery Centre at White River
Recovery Centre at White River (RCWR) supports clients in rebuilding their lives through a six-week residential programme that addresses every side of addiction: the body, thinking patterns, relationships, daily habits, and personal meaning. With a genuinely multidisciplinary team, the centre coordinates care so that each client gets a plan tailored to where they are right now. Located in the Lowveld near waterfalls and White River, RCWR keeps its fees within reach while maintaining high standards.
RCWR does not offer a standard, one-plan-fits-all approach. Instead, the team takes time to get to know each person and together builds a recovery path that fits their needs. The holistic model supports more than physical healing; it also promotes emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Clients receive guidance through one-on-one and group therapy, as well as expressive therapies such as music and art. Body-focused practices like yoga and breathwork are also included. In addition, clients join life skills groups, get assistance with medication, and take part in nature therapy, taking advantage of the calm pace of the Lowveld.
RCWR provides quiet, comfortable accommodation on the edge of Kruger National Park, surrounded by trees and gardens. Residents can choose private, semi-private, or shared rooms, each decorated with taste and fitted with en-suite bathrooms, including an option for women-only accommodation. Facilities such as a volleyball court, fitness centre, and swimming pool encourage both movement and rest. Nutritious meals are prepared by a qualified chef, and a premium shuttle offers door-to-door airport transfers for an easier arrival.
As clients near the end of their stay, the team helps them design an aftercare plan that feels realistic. This may include connections to local professionals, continued therapy, support groups, or recovery communities in their area. They also discuss practical ways to manage future challenges while continuing to use the skills learned during rehabilitation.
