About Berkeley City Mental Health
Berkeley City Mental Health provides counseling and psychoeducational support for people of all ages. The center works with clients who have Medi-Cal coverage and can also assist individuals experiencing homelessness. Adult clients must have a severe mental illness along with significant functional difficulties caused by that condition. For children and adolescents, eligibility requires that they either live in Berkeley or attend school there, and that they meet Alameda County’s medical necessity requirements. The available counseling includes individual, family, and group sessions, along with medication support, psychoeducation, and full-service partnership services. Services are offered in English and Spanish.
