About Arkansas River Valley Area Council
Located on 22 acres and set within the scenic surroundings of Lake Dardanelle, Lake Point Recovery and Wellness provides a complete range of care. The program includes medically supervised detoxification, residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring conditions, and targeted services for women. In addition, the center offers outpatient and intensive outpatient options, family support, programs for gambling addiction, and other related services.
Lake Point Recovery and Wellness follows a holistic philosophy that emphasizes the individual’s overall health, not only substance abuse recovery. The approach combines mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. The residential track runs for 30 days and features addiction education, workforce readiness and employability training, relapse prevention, trauma-focused groups, smoking cessation, structured process groups, and individual therapy sessions.
For women, the center offers a 120-day residential program designed for mothers who are in treatment while working toward regaining full custody or strengthening the process of reunification with their children. This specialized option, SWS (Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, and Wellness for Women with Children), includes treatment for mental health and substance use disorders, primary care, employability support, and parenting education. The program also creates a supportive setting for children under six through an onsite Head Start and Early Head Start program, helping mothers build a strong foundation during recovery.
