About Methodist Family Health - Little Rock Counseling Clinic

The rehabilitation center provides outpatient mental health care for children, adolescents, and families. Services address psychiatric, behavioral, emotional, learning, trauma-related difficulties, as well as dual diagnosis needs. Treatment is delivered through individual, family, and group therapy, alongside medication management and psychological evaluations. Care may include trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and registered play therapy. The goal is to support recovery from traumatic experiences, strengthen emotional control, and help clients form healthier, more supportive relationships.

Kaleidoscope Grief Center, a program of Methodist Family Health, supports children, teens, and families across Arkansas who are coping with loss. The center runs peer bereavement support groups, offers grief counseling, and provides Camp Healing Hearts, a no-cost, family-focused grief camp designed to help participants practice coping skills in a secure setting. Kaleidoscope also hosts social activities and offers licensed bereavement counseling to promote healing and emotional development following the death of a loved one.

A standout feature is the center’s Teaching-Family Model program, which creates a home-like setting through small groups and Teaching-Parents who provide steady, encouraging structure. This evidence-based behavioral approach, created more than 40 years ago, is particularly effective for young people who face elevated risk, including those in foster care or involved with juvenile justice. It is also distinctive in Arkansas because it is used across the full range of care, helping youth strengthen resilience and develop positive life skills.
