About BHG Medical Services
Behavioral Health Group (BHG) provides outpatient addiction care and works closely with referral partners to help people recover from opioid use. Using evidence-based methods, BHG brings together a multidisciplinary team that combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT), counseling, and individualized wraparound support aligned with each person’s specific recovery objectives.
With 114 treatment centers in 22 states, BHG is the largest Joint Commission-accredited outpatient treatment network in the United States. This wide presence helps the organization apply standardized best practices across its locations, supporting more than 43,000 patients each day. The organization reports strong results: 92% of patients note improvements in quality of life and mental health, 83% experience reduced substance use, and 45% obtain employment during their first year of treatment.
BHG is also part of the 4.2% of opioid treatment providers nationwide that offer all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder, alongside counseling and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) in selected locations. Its whole-person model is designed to improve treatment engagement, lower opioid use, reduce risk behaviors, and support sustained recovery.
