About Old Pueblo Community Services

Old Pueblo Community Services (OPCS) is a Tucson-based nonprofit that provides sober living for people leaving prison, working through addiction, facing homelessness, or transitioning back to civilian life, including veterans. The program offers furnished residences with staff available around the clock. There are no typical entry hurdles related to sobriety status or criminal history, and residents receive personalized plans aimed at promoting safety, stability, and progress toward permanent housing. OPCS addresses a wide range of recovery needs through trauma-informed therapy, addiction counseling, and recovery approaches such as 12-Step and SMART Recovery. Veterans benefit from targeted services supported by partnerships with the VA. Case managers assist residents with job readiness, access to benefits, practical life skills, and family reunification. By combining evidence-based practices with person-centered support, OPCS helps clients rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and a focus on lasting outcomes. Residents are placed in shared, fully furnished apartments that include kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry access. Basic necessities such as food, clothing, and household items are provided. Community spaces, outdoor areas, and convenient transit options encourage connection, independence, and daily stability. Built to feel safe and comfortable, OPCS housing supports both veterans and civilians as they work toward healthy, sustainable futures within a supportive recovery community.
