About Desert Star Addiction Recovery Center
Desert Star Addiction Recovery Center provides care for drug and alcohol dependence, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions. The center also supports clients dealing with relationship difficulties, gender-specific concerns, sexual compulsivity, challenges common for young adults, eating disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Treatment is delivered through tailored plans that match each person’s needs and may include different intensities of care, such as day treatment and intensive outpatient programming.
Clients receive individualized plans that can blend groups from different programs to better fit their specific circumstances. Desert Star ARC offers a range of structure and support options, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient groups that run once per week. For flexibility, the center also provides a hybrid approach, combining in-person sessions with telehealth services.
At this time, Desert Star ARC runs three outpatient group therapy options. The Emotional Wellbeing group supports foundational mental health recovery and teaches coping tools for depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional stability; it meets virtually on Thursdays from 6 to 9 pm. The Healthy Intimacy group is for women and addresses relationship and intimacy challenges; it meets virtually on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 pm. The Men and Relationships group is for men and focuses on relationship issues, building connections, and sex/love addiction; it meets virtually on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 pm.
