About A Reprieve for Men

A Reprieve for Men focuses on creating a spiritually grounded setting that supports deep, enduring recovery from substance use. The program combines Twelve Step methods with volunteer involvement and the development of practical life skills. Treatment is delivered primarily through intensive, personal work within the Twelve Step framework, along with structured life skills education. A Reprieve for Men is a long-term, residential option that can last up to six months, with the possibility of moving into transitional living afterward.

The center also offers assistance to the families of participants. Family programming includes psychoeducation, scheduled visitation, and shared meals designed to strengthen connection and understanding. For residents themselves, career and vocational support are available, helping each person explore the training or career path that best matches their interests and strengths. This process considers hobbies, values, leisure activities, past educational or work experience, and personality type.

Set on a tree-lined campus, A Reprieve for Men provides family-style meals, using mealtime as an opportunity to build fellowship among residents. On-site recreation includes activities such as softball, basketball, volleyball, and more. Residents may also use a music room, enjoy the outdoor porch, participate in guided meditation, access gym membership, and attend weekend cookouts.
