Alsana Birmingham PHP/IOP
About Alsana Birmingham PHP/IOP
Alsana’s eating disorder programs are designed for adults who want to keep their independence while taking recovery seriously. They provide flexible options that help clients spend time healing without giving up work, school, or time with family and friends. Participants can also choose to live in nearby recovery-oriented apartments, located about a 10-minute walk from the treatment center.
For the partial hospitalization program, clients attend 6 to 8 hours each day, along with one individual counseling session per week, one nutrition session per week, one psychiatry session per week, and 4 to 5 group sessions daily. The intensive outpatient program is less intensive, with 4 hours of programming per day, one individual counseling session per week, one nutrition session per week, and three group sessions per day.
Alsana says its outpatient programs work well for people who are showing early signs of eating disorders. The goal is to address the disorder before it escalates, improving long-term outcomes. In addition to early intervention, these programs can also support relapse prevention, and Alsana offers two-week programs for clients who are currently relapsing.
